      Aims

      1.  Introduce the learners to English Grammar
      2. Provide them with grammar knowledge
      3.  And help them improve their knowledge of English grammar

      General Objectives

      1)            Enable learners to build appropriate and correct sentences, each sentence pattern in its right position.

      2)            Enhance learners’ grammar, thinking and writing skills.

      Course Content

      First Semester

      1-            Parts of Speech (noun- verb- adjectives- adverbs- articles- preposition- quantifier…)

      2-            Sentence elements \ sentence , clause, phrase (basic definitions)

      3-            Noun and pronoun

      3.1. Singular and Plural (different irregular plurals)

      3.2. Personal pronouns

           4. Adjectives and adverbs

      4.1. Adjectives: Comparatives, superlatives and equality

       4.2. Adverbs:

      5. Quantifiers and prepositions

       End of Semester I

      First Examination

      Second Semester

      1.            Verbs \ auxiliaries ( stative vs. action, regular vs. irregular) (to be, have, do)

      2.            Tenses

      • Present a) simple;  b) progressive;   c) perfect;   d) perfect progressive
      • Past      a) simple;   b) progressive ; c) perfect ;  d) perfect progressive
      • Future    a) simple ; b) progressive ; c) perfect ;   d) perfect progressive
