Aims
- Introduce the learners to English Grammar
- Provide them with grammar knowledge
- And help them improve their knowledge of English grammar
General Objectives
1) Enable learners to build appropriate and correct sentences, each sentence pattern in its right position.
2) Enhance learners’ grammar, thinking and writing skills.
Course Content
First Semester
1- Parts of Speech (noun- verb- adjectives- adverbs- articles- preposition- quantifier…)
2- Sentence elements \ sentence , clause, phrase (basic definitions)
3- Noun and pronoun
3.1. Singular and Plural (different irregular plurals)
- Countable and Uncountable Nouns
- Group Nouns and Pair Nouns
- Nouns + Quantifiers
3.2. Personal pronouns
- Possessive pronouns
- Reflexive pronouns
4. Adjectives and adverbs
4.1. Adjectives: Comparatives, superlatives and equality
4.2. Adverbs:
- Adverbs with « ly » (of manner)
- Adverbs of frequency
- Adverbs of place and time
- Adverbs of degree (quite, very)
5. Quantifiers and prepositions

2. Tenses
