The main important areas of psycholinguists as a field of study are: language acquisition, language development, language comprehension, language production, language and the brain.

Right the main focus is the way language is acquired taking into account the other disciplines in order to achieve an explicit clarification for this outstanding process.
Child language acquisition has occupied a considerable amount in the field of psycholinguistics and numerous theories have been put up in order to unravel the ambiguities of acquiring the mother tongue.

CLA and SLA i.e. child language acquisition and second language acquisition are the backbone of psycholinguistics in addition to language neurolinguistics language computational modelling as two other separate approaches that are required for further understanding of how does a human acquire a language?
