LISTENING TASK: Phone conversation about bad restaurant service
A. What is your favorite restaurant? Discuss your answers.
LISTENING SKILL : SEQUENCING ACTIONS / EVENTS
When speakers talk about past actions or events, they do not always tell them in the order (first, second, third, etc) they happened. You need to listen for key words such as then, before that, after that to know when the actions happened.
B. Listen to the dialogue and number the actions in the order they happened. ( Audio 50)
a. They brought out a huge ice-cream cake.
b. They served nachos with cheese.
c. They brought out a big steak with fries.
